Long engaged with the clinical, teaching and research work of Urinary Surgery, Yuanfang ZHANG has profound knowledge on such fields as renal & urogenital tumor, stone, prostate hypertrophy and organ transplant as well as the application of laser to urinary surgery. In areas, such as ESWL (extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy), early diagnosis and treatment of bladder tumor as well as application of photosensitive technology to early diagnosis and treatment of tumor, Dr. Zhang ever won first prize of National Science and Technology Progress, second prize of Science and Technology Progress by National Department of Education , third prize of Creative Achievement in Shandong Medical Science and Technology and first prize of Science and Technology Achievement by Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences. Published over 240 pieces of theses, participated in compiling 17 monographs, specially, he was the editor-in-chief of 8 monographs such as "Modern Urinary Surgery and Andriatrics", ever assumed deputy editor-in-chief of "Practical Surgery" and editor-in-chief of urinary surgery in "Modern Surgery" and "Surgery Frontline and Discussions".
